I made these clamping dogs as they were needed.  The T-nuts shown below fit my milling machine and are made from 16 mm mild steel bar.  Over the years I have made all of the sizes that are commercially available. Although the commercial parts are availabe at reasonable cost, I generally make my own tooling for the pleasure and to gain experience. 

A black oxide finish was added to the finished parts.
